Meet your music teacher
Stephanie Brune can help you on your musical journey, no matter your age or previous experience.
Stephanie Brune has been teaching music for well over two decades. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she was granted the designation of having an “Honor Recital” her senior year. She also won their prestigious concerto competition, playing Richard Strauss’ Burleske for Piano and Orchestra. Stephanie received her Master of Arts in Liturgical Theology at University of St. Mary of the Lake/The Liturgical Institute.
A fun fact: Stephanie’s piano lineage goes all the way back to Beethoven! Ludwig van Beethoven taught Carl Czerny, who taught Theodore Leschetizky, who taught Artur Schnabel, who taught Pauline Manchester Lindsey, who taught Dr. C. Lawrence Campbell—Stephanie Brune’s piano professor at Illinois Wesleyan University.
In addition to running a full music studio, Stephanie is the music coordinator at St. Peter Catholic Church in Volo, where she is the organist, and directs a Renaissance motet choir, a women’s chant Schola, and a youth choir.
When not immersed in the world of music, Stephanie Brune loves being mommy to her seven children, working in her garden, and all sorts of word puzzles.
